Autosport Show

Anyone else from the forum going to the Autosport show this weekend ? apart from Myself , Dragsterworld , Frosty and Eurodragster .

unfortunately no, ive been for the past 7 years workin on the f1 in schools stand, this is the first year i cant attend due to exams and coursework...sods law theres dragsters in the live action arena!

Im going Saturday.
I dont think the drag cars are on during the oval racing show though are they ?
We always go to the oval one (F1 stock cars indoors - awesome) but I would have liked to see the drag racing bit too.

I understood that the very last Live Action Arena display, on Sunday afternoon, was an oval racing special, where a few of the other displays were dropped to make space for a full length race.

Its the last one on the Saturday too.
It is more or less just oval racing. They have a few different formulae on (F1 & F2 stox, hot rods, autograss) which all have races.
The F1 stox are mighty loud in there so can only imagine a pro mod will cause some serious hearing damage !
Might have to see if I can pay to get into one of the earlier shows as well.

What times a good time to get there then on a saturday morning? its my first time there, so is it busy early on a saturday morning?

good day today, being a trade day (benefits of being an engineering student ) it was fairly quioet, letting you get around and see what you want/talk to people

lots of shiney stuff on show dead stock model A pickup in the auction anyone?

and good to see so many drag racing related people about, with cars, or just motors on display

anyone going over the weekend, I'd get there early, by the afternoon it'll be heaving

I didn't Tog, didn't go to the live action arena

some nice shots though, bet the sound in there was amazing, especially with Andy Robinson's Hemi, and the turbos spooling up on Red Victor
