Speed camera - North Road

Does anyone know if the speed camera facing north on North Road, just before the left turning for Boulevard de Nants (if you're travelling into town), can do you for speeding if you're driving in the opposite direction? I fear I was flashed this morning. Shameful.

Is that the GATSO type that's outside the College of Music and Drama building ? I thought that they could only get you going away from them. Let us know if you find out otherwise. Hope you're OK though.

Pretty sure they can only get you going North (out of town). I know someone who regularly sets the scamera opposite the Culverhouse pub off going out of town It's facing down into town. They've never sent him so much as a postcard. I've never tied it mind you.

Same i know a mate who always sets the same to camers off, the one in taffs well, and the one in church village, facing them and he also has never had any post card off the (road saftey team)

Gatsos CAN'T do you face on. (truveols CAN!) If Gatsos flash you in the face it's because they are empty.

BTW It's a good way of checking the speed threshold: it used to be 40mph in the 30mph limit... or so I'm told.

I believe it's a Gatso, it's a yellow box on a pole. I can confirm that the threshold is about 40mph! I'll let you know if I get a postcard but I'm quite hopeful thanks to your advice.

No they can't. I've set off that one outside the Music College on many occasions going the other way. I'm not even convinced it's loaded.
