rear discs

HI every one i have got the griff up on stands at the mo, just seeing if every thing is sound underneath i noticed that my discs could do with a refurb, also can somebody tell me if the rear discs should move from side to side about 2mm or so i have looked at both of them and there is play in both, any help would be great many thanks in advance paul

I presume this "play" is with the wheels off? which is normal as the disc is only being retained in position by the caliper/pads. If the wheels are on, check your wheel nuts!

THanks bluebottle yes it is with the wheels off was thinking i might have a problem,had the car 18 months still learning about it thanks again paul

Yep agreed. They do move with the wheels off.
Could be worse. They could be split in two down the centre fins after a Vmax!!
