Vetteheadracer posted an article on the Corvette Club site about there being no Astons in the GT1 category this year, no LM24, no ALMS. Instead their sticking the V12 into a Lola chassis in the LMP1 class.

Keep an eye out at Autosport for any Prodrive details.

The Aston DBR9s will be running Gulf colours at Le Mans, and the LMP1 effort is only semi-works with the Charouz team officially running the car.

Looks very mean! Have a pic somewhere. They are also doing an LMP2 version but not sure whether that will have the Aston engine in.

Just seen the story on the ALMS site, good news they're back for the 24hr but no ALMS presence.

I hope that the Village has enough merchandise in stock for the Gulf hungry folk out there!
