is anyone else fed up with the falling euro rate?

It is hitting us hard as a lot is bought in Euros ... even though we have an Euro account in Eire, the natural hedge can only offer so much.

any thoughts about WHAT Brown can do?

It has hit us a little too as we import quite an expensive machine meaning a large margin reduciton for us on Nov/Dec quotation prices. New quote prices to the customer has gone up significantly this last month.

Brown has done quite enough already I'm afraid, which is why the £ looks set to fall alot further.

Sorry not to be more positive. You might consider using options or futures to hegde yourselves.

well, indeed he has done enough to put us in this position.

When we sell outside of the UK, everything is in Euro's, meaning we have a little buffer, but when it is importing, not many UK customers have Euro accounts.

Haven't you known for some time though that most of your UK customers pay in sterling? Its not like the Euro has only just come into being is it?
