I am after any books relating to the Cerbera, and in particular the 4.2 engine. Does such a thing exist?

no-(ish) & you don't have an email address in your profile. Might find it useful.

There are various TVR books which include Cerbera stuff. Some of them are compilations of mag articles on various cars and include Cerbera articles. But AFAIK there are no books on just the Cerbera.

Edited to add: Like this one - there's a bit of Cerbie in this, but not a lot IIRC.

Currently in discussion with the factory on this very topic. Planning to do a Cerbera version of the other bibles.

I think a copy of the manual is well worth looking for. Useful with the TSB's. Not that hard to find as lots of owners have managed to get hold of them round here. I havn't personally needed to look further for information yet.

Surely not a good seller compared to a Griff or Chimp book ie the volume of cerberas on the road is much smaller than Griffs and Chimps?

There are enough of them out there to justify the investment. They have been outselling the Griff and Chimaera for some time. As for timescales... don't really know at the moment as I haven't worked out how much work is involved. The last book took 2000 hours to write... so it is not going to be next week and the factory still have a major say it is going ahead.
