we beleived it was originally a gen2, going by the interior and engine pics that were originally posted, the car came from US to Italy to the UK, somewhere in between the VIN plates had been replaced, no doubt to try and cover something up, probably a crash/repair.
It was even sold by the BMW dealearship as a 2002 even though the colour was only produced in 2000
did you notice the gen1 front nose Marcus

Which BMW garage was it at, I might be interested in a few bits and bobs if they are willing to do some business.
Most likely the main dealer in Huntingdon.

i origianlly went to have a look at the new M3 whilst the folks were in Dunelm opposite, the Viper somewhat diverted my attention!

terrible hood (bonnet) gap
terrible rear fog lights...
terrible looking exhaust pipe
1994 VIN? And a GEN-II hood and wheels and doors and exhaust (rear)?
What else is wrong?
DVLA list it as being a 8.3 litre...if I remember correctly its a 2000 export model with a 94 vin and gen 1 facia, bit of a hybrid.

hi folks,
ok, time to update you.
it's my viper. i picked it up saturday and now it's home in switzerland.
@ ViperGTS99
- the hood was not closed on one side, closed this viper has the best hood allignement i have seen
- rear / front foglights yes, but there gone now
- the exhause pipe, ok, your point of view. 99% like it and what counts, i do!
it is a 2000, so a gen II. only the bumper is gen I, that got replaced, easy swap...
the overall contidion es very good, thanks for the new tires! i imported it from canada, NEW.
nobody spotted the red blinkers!! custom made in switerland and i would say the only viper with red PLASTIC blinkers on the back.
it was serviced at myltons in bedford, if anybody nows them please tell them that thay are dipsticks, servicing a vehicle for over three years and not questioning the facked vin... very sad
so thanks to all, anyone looking for a viper? have one for sale now.. RT/10 steel gray, 2000, 40053km, new tires, uk taxed
(i made the previous owner a GREAT offer but he did not respond to any emails...)
anyway, i great thank-you to all of you who conviced the previous owner of bringing ot back to the dealership, thank's to you guys i got my viper back

best regards, patrick

I noticed the red lights on the rear that one was thing I was very interested in. Any information on another set would be very nicely received
The other things I liked were the wheels. Always liked those but i've already got 2 sets for mine, just not that style! Oh well, i'm sure they came in handy for getting it home! Enjoy.

yes, it's a great ending. many thanks to all of you that helped out in the case.
viperdave, do you have any questions? i dont quite get your ?
the red lights are custom made by a shop that makes the prototpe lights for audi. a very good friend of mine. if i would produce 50+ sets the price would be resonable so i forgot that quickely...
just glad to have her home.
have a nive day, patrick
