Maserati M128?
Discussion
A Maserati for sale locally has caught my eye - it is advertised as an M128 F1 GT - what does that mean? I confess to knowing next to nothing about these cars, so any advice for a potential buyer is very welcome. It is a 2002 Auto 4.2 with 20k miles and paddle gear change. What is that gearbox like? Any problems with these cars? What sort of running costs can I expect? What should I look out for in the history, if I do go and see this car?
Many thanks!

As far as I can make out, it is a 4200 Coupe GT CC. I think M128 refers to the Maserati model reference and F1 is probably the automated manual gearbox.
Do a search on this forum - loads of posts about these and the earlier 3200GTs.
I'm very happy with mine - still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and I'm grumpier than Mr Grumpy.
