330 Coupe Parking sensors

I have just used my 330 and noticed that when the car is put into reverse I get a long single tone which lasts about 15 seconds (instead of the usual beebing) from the parking sensors, no other noises are heard even if i reverse up close to something. Any ideas what would be wrong?

Mine did this for a while - was diagnosed as being a failed sensor. Put right under warranty, but I don't think it was a big deal. Only other thing - sorry for being obvious - is if there is something at very close range setting the sensor off. It will alarm for 15 seconds or so and then go off if this is the case. Check the manual.

Yes, make sure the sensors are clean or it may be seeing the dirt as an obstacle!
