Hello everyone, im currently creating a logo for my website (it's a lot harder than i thought! and was wondering which you all preferred)Im pretty sure which oneis best although i just asked my mum and she picked the opposite to what i thought! IF anybody has any suggestions as well then i will be extremely grateful;

Below are the two choices,

2,

Thank you smile

no1 by far. Did you design it for a business card as it would look good on that. Think you may have to rethink the positioning on a web page.

Looking at the top one I saw a camera and then noticed the letters, thought what an elegant logo.

Looking at the bottom one saw the letters and wouldn't have noticed the similarity with a camera if the top one hadn't primed me.

So, top one works for me.

I'd lose the tripod personally, but otherwise 1. Also the flashy underline in somewhat at odds with the understated elegance of the typeface above it, I'd ditch that too.

Start over, both are quite bad.

hmm, the logo could take up a bit of space on the web, and may be tricky to re-scale to a decent size.

I had a quick play this morning scratchchin

Oh care to elaborate, suggestions etc? just saying they are bad isn't helpful in the slightest.

cool, if you could post the colours you would like it in I can change it? This was done in photoshop and I created a hi resolution version (A3)

i don't think anyone really cares for/about a logo on a web site.
just your name in a classic, neat text is fine (in my opinion).
i do like the "hawkeye" option above, though.

find your best, most stunning pics .... stick them on the first home page and let the pics do the talking for you.

good luck.

Ooo, its a touch choice, it would be good if i could play around to see which colours work best as i dont have specifics in mind. Overall website design is white and black so whatever would work with that really?

thanks again!

Glad you like them.

I have uploaded the originals, one with a black background and one with white.

Now, where do I post the invoice to? hehe

Nice! well in that case i have one question, im using a fairly Novice (im guessing) service called mrsite to make my website but im incorporating flash into it, buttons etc but can i still use flash templates or do i need to create the whole thing seperately for that?

I'm guessing you would need to do them seperately. No idea how "mrsite" works though..
