Just called up my insurance company to ask how much extra my premium would be if i added a Tubi (i said sports-perfomance exhaust) and they said £231..... is this normal...

I was asked how much the BHP would be increased and advised them there are no official figures but at most from 300 to 305.......

anyone else had this problem and/or in the insurance industry and can think of a better way (still keeping fully covered) of exlpaining/wording it.......

when I first insured the F355 I made the mistake of saying the exhaust was standard. A day or so later when I twigged that the TUBI wasn't standard I called to correct the mistake. They noted the change, confirmed in writing, but it didn't alter the premium.

I told them it was a Tubi sports exhaust. They asked if it would increase power to which i replied that there are no official claims but the importer ( Scuderia Systems) reckon i might get an extra 20bhp. They called back and said "no change in premium". I guess it depends on your insurer.
