Petrol Station Fraudsters - Annesley ???

I don't know if any of you guys use the filling station next to the Badger Box Pub in Annesley off Jct 27 but apparently they do a bit of the old card skimming so I've always paid cash there.
The other night I paid by debit card and within 24 hours I had a call from the bank saying someone is trying to spend money on my card in Indonesia !!!
My card has been cancelled and a new one is being sent to me which is quite inconvenient plus the messing around changing the pin.
This seems too much of a coincidence for me being as they have been done before and as a result I wont use them again.
I'm not saying don't use them because I have no proof but just check bank statements ect... or if you use them PAY CASH to be on the safe side.

I ONLY pay with cash for fuel round this way for VERY OBVIOUS reasons......

I think is used to be a Total garage, but it is now Shell. There was definitely card skimming going on there a while back as someone got banged up for it last year. Even though it's local and the only place for miles to get Optimax (or whatever poncey marketing name it has now) I don't use the place. But I was caught short a few weeks back and paid for some petrol there with my switch card - guess it's time to trawl through the bank statements

That's the Shell one - recently changed from 'summ't' else (could have been Texaco - and what a rip-off they are)? I use it regularly as I live only a few miles away and try to use V-Power when I can. I will look at my statement; many thanks for the prompt! Did you know there are less patrol stations around now than there were in the 1930s? (May have made that last bit up).
Had a phone call from my CC company shortly after using this (then Texaco now Shell) station last year. Didn't suffer fraud but did have my card cancelled and re-issued. There was a big article about it in the Evening Post at the time. The staff seemed to have changed and I have used since with no problems - guess they may be up to their old tricks?
Did you report it to the BiB???
We might not do anything at the moment, but will definatley start to build an intelligence picture from the number of cases we recieve from the station. You're right people have been prosecuted for it, but we need information - times, dates, amounts etc to start building a case.
