I am looking for a replacement shock / spring combination for the Lotus Elise that allows in-cabin adjustment of ride height and shock absorber settings. I have searched the web (Koni, Eibach, Sachs, Bilstein, Gaz, AVO, Spax, Elka, Tein, others) and cannot find anything suitable.
The problem I am trying to solve is a bad part of my home's access road that doesn't even allow the standard ride height setting. I just need an extra inch for a about 1 minute, after that the road is a pure joy for the Elise. Fixing this private road takes about the price of a new Elise, so that's not an option.

Remoteride height adjustment is only available with hydraulic systems. This will weigh as much as the car. I would go to the source of the problem and get something done about the road.

Thanks for all the good feedback. I have control over the Elise, not over the road. It is a bit frustrating because Lotus was the leading-edge developer of active suspension and that has the same capability. I would think that pre-load adjustment (in-cabin) is a usefull capability, even for the track.

Remote adjust just ads weight and complexity, what Lotus always tried to avoid.

Just get out and adjust the shocks when you get to the track, takes me less than 2 mins to do them all on my car!

Usually, the motors to drive the ride-height adjustment are in the unsprung part of the suspension, so adding the weight would be fully compensated by me loosing a few pounds of useless material around my own unsprung body parts....
Anyway, seems like no solutions are available?

And.... you have to change tyre pressures anyway at track.... so you have to go to each wheels anyway... unless you have a hummer anyway! lol

But doesn't help with your road problems though...

Thanks Paul RN... but I am not sure if you have seen the Elise trunk.... hard to put those planks in the car. Let me be one step ahead of any funny comments; NO, I am not going to put a trailer behind the Elise.

By the way, does anyone have a suggestion for a group / web site that specializes in racing Elises?
