S-V8S Speedo/Rev counter - Interchangeable?

Given that my speedo (V8S) has packed up again, does anyone know if the dials are the same on both the S and V8S?

I don't know, but it would seem unlikely since the gearbox is different, and the engine has a different number of cylinders.

I know absolutely nothing about the internals of the speedo - but usually in old electronic kit its the electrolytic capacitors that give up - they dry out internally and then basically they aren't capacitors any more.
They cost pennies so if you're capable of a bit of soldering, or know someone who is, one thought of mine is that it might be worth a go to replace them.
The other is that you could it completely then where will you be!

Give TVR Car Parts a call on 01884 266755. Richard, with help from Speedy Cables, fixed my speedo last year and I think he found out a lot about them while doing so.
