Golf MK V Advice
Discussion
I am considering buying a 1.6SE as a replacement for the other half's ageing MK3 Gti. Can anybody advise on what to look out for in terms of general spec and common problems? I'm probably going to go for a 2005 or an early 2006 model.
Some specific questions; What are the service intervals? is there a cam belt that needs changing? and can you turn off the passenger airbag with a key (like you can on an Audi).
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Ideally, you'll want/need one with a few toys such as...
A/C, 6 CD changer, either centre armrest /front dash mounted, Weather pack (auto wipers/lights) & winter pack (heated windows/mirrors and seats)to name but a few.
I think cruise control was standard on SE model along with front fogs.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Happy hunting.

Cruise and A/C appear to be standard on SE from what I've seen, but no fog lights. Models with armrests are like gold dust.A/C, 6 CD changer, either centre armrest /front dash mounted, Weather pack (auto wipers/lights) & winter pack (heated windows/mirrors and seats)to name but a few.
