rev limiter

If I pull my S2 past say 5000 revs the ignition drops dead compeletely. Does anyone if these car were fitted with chip regulated limiters. And if so, can others be acquired?

Are you sure that the revs are actually 5000rpm, as the rev counter on mine needs written warning to react quickly. Try taking the revs up slowly to the red, mine cuts out at @ 6100rpm.

I would check the Rev counter is reading correctly. I had my S3 on the rolling road at PistonFest and gave permission to take up to 6000 revs. However when the rev counter was reading 5000 their kit was reading the car running at 6200.

I will have mine checked at its next service.
