After a great suggestion on the General Gassing thread with regards what car to buy, i have settled on the fact that it will be an Audi, either a circa 2006 B7 RS4 or an S5.

What i would like to know is what kind of costs are associated with the RS4 in terms of servicing and are there any known problems you may be aware of?

Advice is much appreciated.

If you haven't done already, take a look at www.rs246.com for a wealth of information.

Cheap as chips to run. I've done 30k in mine and had a couple of services, think they were in the region of £300 each.
Apart from fuel.........

Need a 1st service on my s4 in a few months time.
Can I ask where you get your RS4 serviced please?

Cheers for the info.
Not had much luck with Audi servicing in my area.
So, good to hear of a reliable dealer

not sure what mileage you do but consider the Audi Fixed Cost Maintenance Scheme - you can apply for any car under 1 year and 10k old

mine is laughably cheap but I only do 6k per annum - £216 pa including all consumables and tyres

fuel is a different story but not bothered on my mileage - average 23mpg on long fast trips, 12-15mpg in town
