Is there anyone from the Lotus forum planning a trip to Le Mans 2008?

I am no all booked up and ready for the fun and games. I annoyed I missed last years event but after seeing the weather I managed a little smile, heres hoping we get the heat of 2006 again.

Seloc are organising something

http://forums.seloc.org/showevent.php?eid=1615

The annual pilgrammage to the world's greatest 24 hour drinking marathon..erm..race.

Apologies to Shnozz for stealing his words:

"250 thousand (mainly) blokes go to watch. You take your flash motor, drive it as fast as you can through France to Le Mans. You do highly dangerous overtakes on the way down there and try and avoid the gendarmes. You arrive. Unplack your tent and get drunk. You head to Houx Annexe roundabout and watch people arsing about in their motors. You wake up, sunbathe and get drunk. A race starts. Its loud. You get drunk. You wake up, the race is still going, you get drunk. The race finishes, you get drunk. You play with fireworks. You wake up, you drive home. Quickly. Another mini adventure."

Will Peugeot beat Audi? Will the Astons win again? Will Barney be there running Jos's car? Will there be enough beer in Carrefour? Who will get the biggest fine? Who will get run over at the roundabout?

To find out the answers, 1st Tickets have kindly offered to make life easy at this year's event. As an official ACO Ticket Agent, they have taken a large patch at Camping Bleu, which will be exclusively for the use of car clubs. Further plans and prices are to be revealed soon but there will be facilities provided that won't cost the earth.

In addition, they are also offering package trips and even hotel accommodation.

As well as adding your name, let me know which day you are arriving - don't forget with a few of us in the same place, there's no need to turn up early to grab a space.

Yep, looks like being a good trip, lots of things planned and arranged via a reputable agent - we used them last year just for campsite passes and tickets, this year they are planning a dedicated pitch.

All welcome to sign up

So all I need do is sign up on SELOC? It would be good to meet up with some more fello owners especially at the best race in the world

Silly question but is the SELOC section just for Lotus?

I will be coming down in the 111R but my father is in his Focus. If its Lotus only then fair enough but thought I would ask the question

It's for club members, so if they come in a different car it won't be a problem. Good thing about having a couple of load luggers is they can carry the heavy stuff and do the Carrefour runs biggrin
