hi guys - finger out the bum time for me, decided what bike im going to get but need to get the licence first..

On the back of my car licence i have cat's B B1 and fkp and next to fkp i have the 122 code in the far right meaning subject to road tests or whatever it is, and on my paperhalf of the licence i have porovisional for A BE and GH. I guess the A allows me to do my motorbike, so i dont need to apply for another provisional?? as this covers it?
Hope so!
Cheers in advance!

A full car licence should contain motorcycle provisional entitlement("a" being motorcycle)

It all depends when the licence was issued.
For a while back in the dark ages (Thatcherism) there was a time limit on how long you could hold a provisional bike licence; i.e. don't pss your test within two years and we take the provisional off you completely.
Because of this, you actually had to tick a box on the licence application form to let DVLC know you wanted cat A on your provisional licence when you first applied.
Many people never bothered and then when they passed their car test it was never added on by DVLC and they have spent years blissfully unaware.
Others had the provisional, but never sat the test and lost it too; again, blissfully unaware!
The key part is the cat A entitlement on the back of you paper counterpart as there is no provisional listing on the back of the photocard.
Remember when you go for training or test take both parts with you, or a proof of id if you have never had a photocard.

Yours sounds okay though, so don't worry!
