Having not raced competitively for nearly 8 years now my fun with the mini helicopters in the office has got my passion for racing cars back again.

What is the model of choice at the moment for the 1:10 on-road chassis' class...

Associated, Losi, Schumacher or another?

My mates got a Losi xxx-s for sale if interested, I think he would be happy to sell as a rolling chassis or complete. Its got the Graphite upgrade on it etc.

I've raced one for a few years and its always proved competitive and reliable. He didn't race his much.

PM me if interested.

I have seen some pics and details on the X-Ray, looks a pretty nice bit of kit. How are the spares in the UK for the X-Ray, does anyone race one, what's the handling like?

Not interested in buying second hand, but thanks all the same.

No idea to be honest. Cut me in half and I have Tamiya written through the middle like a stick of rock. Anything else (unless it's vintage) is really not my realm I am afraid...

I raced one for a bit a few years back. They are very nicely made and work well with just the standard set-up. I brought mine second hand, but I was planning on buying one a new one a year before, however, I was put off by spares availability at the time. I remeber the guy in the shop syaing "you never quite know with x-ray (regarding spares)". That was probably about 3/4 years ago, so I imgaine things are much better now.
Very nice kits though.

Im racing competitively at the mo, but Im into 2wd buggys (losi xxx is the weapon of choice)
At our club the losi JRX-S, associated TC5 and Xray seem to be the most competitive, however, if your not wanting to spent too much a second hand associated TC3 or TC4 factory team will still be fun and competitive in the right hands!
