Just ordered new discs from a company who supply Brakes 4 U. They sent the wrong part and will not collect and resend the correct part. Now I know that we have NO consumer rights these days and the onus is on me to go out of my way either in my precious spare (piston heading time) or during self employed working hours to send the items back. The brake supply company refuse to budge and wont use their discretion and send out the correct part. I am now looking at standing in a post office queue with a very heavy parcel, finding somewhere to park, taking time out of my day blah, blah, blah. Not going to do it. Consequently i'm ordering from somewhere else and footing the loss!

Such an infuriating consumer world. Everything's got to go to court.

Rant over, Jon.

Ordered standard rear vented disks for TVR Chimaera/Sierra cossie 4x4 Part no D558. They sent D553.
Numbers look similar i suppose. Will take photo and mail them every day until they give in or take me to court for harrassment! The part can only cost them 30 quid tops! Really poor customer support.

Did you buy on creditcard, if so contact them for supply of wrong goods.

Debit card. Have contacted the consumer rights people (so did the supplier!) I do have to send the items back and go out of my way with a very heavy package in a long queue at the post office. MAD.

I know it doesn't help now but I suppose the moral of the story is pay by credit card as then you can contact the CC co. and get them to raise a dispute and they will obtain the money back until all is settled.

Sounds a bit of a bad supplier if it’s their mistake then they should put it right?

Just bought Mintex pads and discs all round from http://www.azcarparts.co.uk who were bloody brilliant.

Order placed last weekend, phoned me on the Monday to check I'd ordered the right things (due to the fact that I bought different parts for each axle) and told me that they'd be with me on Wednesday - and they were. smile
