I didn't think too much of the first half of the programme, but after the adverts, I thought it was an excellent plug for drag racing and SPR with some good, varied footage. Didn't realise that when the 2 seater dragster popped the chute, the rear wheels lifted off the ground!

good program I thought throughout, wasn't that fussed with the capri, gti and cosworth middle section but seeing Jimmy Turnbull's deuce roadster doin' donuts was good smile and the drag racing section was excellent

I can see why they included the Hot Hatch descending into 'modding' section, clearly illustrating that while they may share common origins things seemed to lose their direction a bit when people stopped wanting to go fast and started wanting to go deaf. The hot rods were great (and he got to drive my dream car!) and the drag racing coverage was excellent.

If he wasn't he did a good job of acting and there was some clever editing - there was in car footage which I seem to recall included a rearward facing shot including his eyes inside the crash helmet and the sound of him screaming (!) over the note of the engine.

I'm astonished that you can't get every channel going (off a bent coat hanger, at that) considering where you live!
