Hi i have purchased a pair of new fiesta mk 3 lexus lights for my 1998 Chim had a look at removing the old lights today while i am waiting for the newly applied chassis paint to dry

anyway the old lights look well glued in so if anyone out there has any tips to ease the removal process it would be most appreciated.

There are 3 bolts that fit the existing lens to the body which are hidden by the carpet.
Mine were also sickaflex in so you have to remove the perspex covers with a craft knife then cut the mastic to loosen the lamp.
While there out i painted the surround in gloss paint as it was showing the age and also paint will chip whilst removing the mastic.
Sickalex the lamps and covers back in.
You will also need the other type of fitting for the indicaters the other 2 bulbs fit ok.

Do a search there was some good info and pictures from me and another PH er.

ETA: Mine just had the one screw holding each light cluster in, hidden under the carpet, they are all different !. Carpet over the lights is just velcro'd on pull it off to reveal screws. Once screw (or screws or bolts or whatever) are removed you may find the cluster hard to remove. Mine had got some fibreglass stuff (not sure what you call it) and also carpet glue holding it in. A gentle tap with a hammer broke it out without damaging the light cluster/

Remember to paint the black surround on the perspex before refitting, mine were done by a previous owner, quite neat but you can still see the sealant.
