Off to France next week

Im off to France on Wednesday for a week in the Chim and would like to know what its advisable to take.

The car is reliable (touch wood) and i only want to take a few of the hard to get spares with me.

First on the list is an accelerator cable, a 25amp fuse and a litre of engine oil but apart from these can anyone think of anything else?

a bit of wire to over ride the otter for the Fans if you dont have a overide switch.
Litre of coolant as your bound to loose some.
1 Ignition lead ( long) in case one fails.
Jump leads.

100A alternator fuse. A doddle to change once you know where it is....

Non Freephone number of a breakdown service (since 0800 numbers may not work from abroad).

A set of all the external belts (alternator etc) under the bonnet. If one snaps you call AA 5 star and least they can fix it on the spot... hopefully!

I'm also off to France next Wednesday. Doing the Portsmouth - Le Harve over night ferry on Wednesday night. Will be in Nice next Friday for the weekend. Haven't decided where we are going after that.
