HI folks, i'm a newbie to the forum and i'm picking up my Chimaera 4.0 in 13 hrs.
I bought it from this site during the week, had never heard of the site before until speaking to Bauer & Millett in Manchester (former TVR dealers) who pointed me in the right direction.
Within 6 hrs of logging in i had found my car .

I shall look forward to getting out and about in the UK before my trip through France & Spain in the summer.

Good work mate !

Plenty of TVR owners in the NW - just get on here if you get any issues or questions.

Enjoy, just watch the wet roads. wink

Thanks guys.

I had a 350i wedge a few years ago and was brought up on a diet of Capri v6's, i'm quite looking forward to getting back to 'seat of the pants' driving style again, modern cars are soooo predictable.

This is the Moonraker black '95' currently on the classifieds section.
I'd looked at loads of them before being bowled over seeing this.

Good man. I had a 350i as my first Tiv too.

Now you're in the big league.

I envy you for tomorrow as I know how I felt the night before I picked up my Griff and then woke to drive it home.

Great feelings. thumbup

Congratulations! Lovely looking chim, was admiring that one on PH earlier. Could hardly sleep a wink the night before I went to pick mine up and that particular day turned out be a very soggy trip home along the M6.. Found to be good practise for last summer! biggrin Enjoy..

Not long now John.

As was said in an earlier post, watch out for those wet (or even damp ) roads.

Looks good! But... be under no illusion that you can boot it with cold tyres on a wet road (or even warm tyres on dry road!). The power is immense, and WILL catch you out when you're doing a bit of showing off to yer mates! hehe Have fun!

Welcome and have fun but stay alive. I second (or is it fourth) what has been said, do not get too brave until you have some practice in it. In the wet it is just waiting to bite yer head off like all TVRs and everytime you hit the brakes remember you will be going a s$%t load faster than you think, it's the nature of the beast, becuase they dont dive much it can be hard to judge how hard your are braking and it was among the first thigs that caught me out. The second was overtaking is no longer always full throttle, more often than not you have to look at the raod surface and judge the throttle or it goes all snakey snakey half way past which can be a bit of a brown trouser experience.

Enjoy
