Hi All,

Trying to fit my exchange radiator (1997 500) but I can't get the dam thing to fit. The bottom water pipe arrears to be fowling on the anti-roll bar bush. This is stopping the radiator dropping enough for the bottom offside radiator pin to pass through the corresponding hole in the body. If I flattened the bottom pipe by about 5mm then I think it would go - anybody else tried this? Is the pipe liable to spit?

The top brackets are definately going to need re-drilling but I expected that.

Cheers,

Rob

OK, well the TVR butcher has struck again! Ended up cutting about an inch off the lower pipe and forming a new lip as best as I could with a pliers - let just see if its water tight!

Rob

That sounds like the difference between LR & TVR rads (that some still seem to deny exists wink )

If the bottom connector isn't tightly formed to exit at 90degs I would class it as the wrong rad wink

yes, it was formed to 90 degrees but was fowling in the roll bar????

Lets hope that is doesn't leak from my Heath Robinson handywork. Thats a bit unfaie actually, I was rather pleased at my lip forming abilities!

Regards,

Rob

I had to draw one of the holes in the top fixings on mine which was the same as the original TVR rad.
