I love 124s and that's an especially good one.

It's amazing the difference the 16s make.

Tough looking Merc!! Don't know much about these.. does it go well? Must admit find the cream leather a bit to 'in ya face' but i'm sure it'd uber comfortable!!!
Let me say again a fine example!

Looks absolutley gorgeous, that interior is sublime, but what the hell are you doing with that head unit? Get a retro looking becker in there.

That is a great looking Merc.

How old is she? What sort of mileage does she have?

I really fancy a 300TE, as I think it would make a great moocher!

What's going on with the 'film star' soft focus effect and the wierd reflection on the bonnet?

I find those pics very difficult to look at.

Always had a soft spot for these. Very nice and clean one you have there awswell.

My Dad had a 300D in the early 90's and it was great. I have fond memories of cruising down to the south of france with a caravan on the back...

I never quite understood why the wing mirrors were different sizes though...

Carat-Duchatelet edition 300e I believe. Very nice example you have there sir and quite rare. They look good when fitted with AMG alloys from the 124 E36 IMHO (just my litte 2p). Is it the 24v version? Fairly rapid and very comfortable. Enjoy

thanks guys..... to answer some of your questions, it is a 12 valve 300e (auto) has 78,500 miles, and is a 1990 model on a H-registration, had the Duchatelet bumpers and bootlid spoiler (they did not produce side skirts for the W124's with the door mouldings, also has the Duchatelet stearing wheel, and suspension kit and ofcourse the bootlid badge (plaque).....
Currently the car is on 16" mercedes 8-hole alloys, and as mentioned by someone a set of 17" AMG type 2 alloys would look great on the car (had them on my last W124) however i dont like to mix and match different tuning companies products, so am gonna hold out for a set of diamond polished 17" Carat Duchatelet alloys....
As for the car Audio, i did not put it in the car, lol but i am responsible for not taking it out as yet...lol, although would have to replace it with a cd unit as opposed to a tape player, as i cant listen to the radio (disconected the electric aireal as i hate great big huge electric aireals sticking up from the car) and i dont own any tapes!!
As for the 'glow' i know, i know i will probably put the origional pics up at some point as the cars paintwork looks so much deeper and darker in the flesh, but i cant do anything about the reflection as that is due to two seperate elevations on the building next to the car..... again, thanks for all the comments

thanks.... i like 199 blue black too, although am more than happy with the almandine, in an ideal world it would be pearl grey, with black, run on 18"s be mint and have a 500e badge on the back..... Hhhhhhmmmmmmmm..... wonder who has one of those???

Come on Si, get a pic up!!!! you are more than welcome to jack my thread (although your car deserves one of its own)
