Tyre Noise Query?
Discussion
My 06 Exige S makes a sort of woo-wooing noise between 30 and 45mph, mostly on a light/neutral throttle.
It continues if you select neutral and depress the clutch just coasting.
I thought it was a wheel bearing or maybe even an output shaft bearing, but after checking the wheel bearings, the dealer has concluded that it is tyre noise.
The car has done 10.7k miles (only 400 with me), so I don't know when the tyres were last changed.
It is on 48's, which look to me fairly worn, but to be frank they look worn to me brand new! They haven't reached the markers yet, maybe 3 - 3.5mm on them?
Anyone else had this and is it likely or have I just been fobbed off?

I see you are less formal on here Pesky - dropping the Mr. and all that?
I was originally plain "Pesky" on exiges.com, until the server threw a wobbly in 2003 or 2004, so that many of us had to re-register - hence the addition of "Mr" Edited by nsm3 on Saturday 19th January 20:12
