May need some further information about your specific phone system and set up, but, two possible answers spring to mind.
First, the system takes a while to fully synchronise and you may find that the information appears 'all of a sudden'.
Second, the car system set up allows you to identify which phone memory it should access - options include phone only, SIM only, or phone + SIM - depending on where your numbers etc are stored on your phone (either SIM or phone memory), you will need to make sure the car system is looking in the right place.
