Front indicator

[L1OFF]

Just replaced the offside front indicator lamp on the saggy..... 21/2 fecking hours.
TVR don't you just love them

If you don`t mind can you tell us what exactly you had to do?

I intend to fully 'get my hands dirty' with those more 'simple' things but I suspect getting to these things in the Sagaris (even to replace a bulb) is complex!

Love them indeed. Took battery cover off Sagaris last weekend to find battery and terminals covered in mud and rubbish. All cleaned and greased now. Refitted with aid of 1 x rawplug to allow coach screw to grip fibreglass (the one nearest engine threaded, other one tapped into fibreglass) plus nice bead of clear bathroom silicone sealant!

Now - would you find such repairs on a Carrera 4S? (poss why I didn't buy one!)

Oh go on then

Here we go

Front Lights; Main & Dip H7 Hella;
N/S Accessed via inner wheel arch behind lights. Remove wheel for access, then three screws and mastick to remove cover.


O/S possible access via service main bonnet to adjust alignment only ,
but for bulb change go via inner wheel arch access panel.


Put them back wih mastic or somthing to seal

I can see that my hope of taking the front lights out to clean some of the dust thats collected inside them won`t be that easy!

Tut Tut Graham - those bits of wiring loom in behind the lights look dusty. You'd better do something about that!

I still don't know how you keep that car so clean. I looked under mine yesterday (garaged, but very well ventilated) and it looked 'moist' and most definitely not clean! (last time used was 8 days ago in the dry for a 10 mile spin to keep things working, guess it wasn't dry enough).

Have you considered doing an HID Xenon upgrade on the dipped beam lights? They are particularly poor at night (obviously!) www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk have a kit for £200 with 10% TVRCC discount. Not sure where I could fit the ballast though? N

See other posts regarding other problems with dashpod that may or may not be caused by aftermarket HID installations. I believe Silverstone Performance and some other garages offer an upgrade though? Maybe these are better?
