This is my 1st time posting a topic on the BMW M power forum due to purchasing my new beast, I picked it up on Friday 18th Jan 2008, it's a Z4M Roadster in Silver Grey with Imola red leather, one word "AWESOME".biggrin

I would like to chat with Z4M owners to discuss Z4M issues.

Does anyone know of any BMW M Power meets or Z4 meets ??

www.z4-forum.com is your best bet.

Got any pictures? I wanted silver grey but it looked more silver than grey, so I ended up with Sapphire Black.

I have just joined the Z4 Forum you sugested, my username is the same as my pistonheads Z4MJO.

I thought the same thing as you until I saw it in the flesh, I love the colour and will be taking some pic's next weekend when the weather hopfully has improved!, I previously had a black Honda S2000, would never have another black car because it's the hardest colour to clean, unless you have a valeter every week !!! I do think black is one of the best colours when clean but living in the countryside my cars do not stay clean for long.furious

Do you have any pic's of yours ?

ive always loved cars and driving as long as i can remember, but i dont need any excuse to show off my baby so heres the pics mines got pretty much every single option on the list!!!!

i tried to make these all arty farty but sadly my cam is way too turd!!! anyhow here she is in all her glory, hope you like, because i LOVE it!!! ha ha best car ive owned so far, i went for this over a top spec 07 plate boxster, i think i made the right choice, we seem to have alot of Z4MC pics so heres a roadster to mix it up alittle!!! plans are gruppe M titainium exhaust system, CA automotive induction box like the CSLs which apparently can give gains upto 25+bhp with their remap, aero side skirts and genuine CSL rims, also as much carbon fibre as i can lay my hands on!!. enjoy!!!

I think they all have it, Ive got black leather in our roadster and it has the M Logo.

Nice car, hope you enjoy it. YOu could also look at the BMW owners club, I joined it at the PH show, they have BMW only and some "M" only trackdays throughout the year.

I bought an 06 Roadster in Interlagos Blue last year and have not regretted the purchase for one second.

It's ridiculously quick and the noise is fab.

I had a M3 coupe then convertible and then this, and this is far more fun to drive. The rush of adrenalin and speed as you blast through 2nd/3rd gear is addictive, and bad for your licence.

Yes, the tail comes out if you really try, but that's the point of it isn't it hehe

Downsides? Boot is a bit small, bluetooth doesn't work with my N73, that's about it smile

regarding the seats M logo, maybe its the upgraded options that didn't get it then? mine got the 2 tone new england leather...

I got an Imola Red Z4M when released in march 2006 and am still in love with it, so brutal! It looks great in its war paint. I intended giving it a few spins in Springs/Summers, but I can't keep out of it, it's a joy. I think the 0-62mph in 5 secs is very conservative..anyone anything more definitive? Also how can the electronic limiter be taken off..not that 155 is not enough, it just seems a bit like unnecessary castration, if you follow me.

Is there any merit in switching wheels (to CSL 19s) or tyres (Michelin) on this beautiful machine. I hear there may be a 4l, V8?

to remove the limiter you need to remap the ECU with the obvious issues with insurance; forums also suggest you'll hardly gain much power as the existing map is very aggressive; plenty of UK tuners do this. Haven't done this (yet) so no personal opinion

on wheel size: I have 19" on my 03 e46 M3 and the ride is quite hard (std suspension). having discussed this with others who still have 18s I think 19s are not worth it. Harder ride, more expensive tyres, more abrupt/ less fogiving at the limit...yet 19s seem to have become a 'necessary' extra here
