whilst being in the nearby vacinity of my nearest Audi centre earlier today i decided to call in and have a nose round, glad i did as outside of the showroom a very nice dark grey example of the all new A4 was on display!
was quite surprised to see it, car doesn't go on sale here for another month IIRC!
and very very nice it is too, some lovely details and features the overall look of the car is much tighter and more cohesive than the old one somehow IMO
here are the pics,

this car was an early european LHD example, got a good look at the interior though and i'm very much liking the driver centred dash, the cabin qualiy looks to be excellent too
to look at it appears much bolder than the outgoing car, its still a very handome car though, could have been a little bit more daring, but audi have played it safe it seems and it has worked out quite well IMO
i like the A5 esque features too like the front and rear lights, prominent shoulder line etc make it look a bit more chiselled
hoping to go back for a closer look and take a few more pics sometime, but for now enjoy these!

was at my local Audi dealer on Sat to swap cars and had a nosey at the new A4 - the interior and side profile are very similar to the 3 series

not too sure of the silver dash cowling - not typical Audi design

I noticed this too. Did Audi just take a copy of BMWs homework and tweeked it a little? smile

I'd hazard a guess at silver, turned silver, piano black, carbon, walnut, maple... all being options with different standard finish depending on trim level.

Is a smart looking thing smile

Looks great, but an E90 will win the driving business.

Looks lovely and if similar to the new 3 series, this A4 is a lot prettier at the front where as imo the new 3 series is plain ugly. Maybe im biased as im an Audi fan through and through, but this is a lovely looking car.smile

They look very similar to the Xenons on my current A4, so guess so.

My car is booked in to the local Audi dealership for some work in the moring, so I'll have a poke around. Need to decide if Im sticking with the A4 at next change or moving up, as the current rear legroom is woeful.

Maybe I should just go get the new C Class AMG? wink

Ordered up a new A4 2.0 S/line the other day for a boy at work. Audi can't officially put it through to the factory until the end of this month for some reason, only the SE can be ordered just now.

The local dealer had a Swedish LHD one in for us to look at. More room in the back, but didn't look any differnt to current model other than lights. TBH it was fairly underwhelming - They are obviously specced even lower than UK models.

Maybe I'm missing something ?

Off to a launch next week, so will have one to drive which may will offer up a better experience.

Will it? The first flurry of reviews in the German motoring press suggest otherwise, with the A4 winning every 3 series and C class comparison so far.

To the guy mentioning rear leg room in the new C class, my wife's uncle's just bought one, lovely car, but the rear leg room isn't great. I would say there's less leg room than the previous generation Mondeo (if that helps?)

Hi.

The LHD models doing the "rounds" of UK showrooms are indeed low spec cars...

We can't work out why Audi didn't get some decent spec cars as "sneak preview" models.

The vehicles I saw in Germany in September / October / November were much more visually alluring.

The SE model is the only model available to buy in UK at launch.

Some of the LHD models were standard (base) cars, and these open for ordering around now.

The optional Xenon lamps incorporate the LED running lights in the swooping shape as seen on the R8 - and the photo shown was indeed those lights.

However, only launch cars and vehicles ordered last year could have the Xenons as options...

Audi have taken them off the options list even though they appear in the brochure - as they DO come standard in the S-line model.

The thing is, S-line costs £2500 more!!

£2500!!

Mind you it does come with 18" alloys, different bumpers, skirts, and half leather sports seats with lumbar support.

And you can't order it until April, for delivery May onwards.

I think they should have got that bit better organised and priced...
