Yep going to be going on one of the weekend days. I have heard it's supposed to be a lot better since there's only the one show this year, I agree last year was rubbish though, I think I spent an hour there and I had actually seen everything!

i used to enjoy riding the bike to ally pally as its a nice venue and not a bad run in for me,but now its at Excel the ride there holds NO interest for me whatsoever

Ah. TBH i hadn't really put that much thought into it, i was thinking Ally Pally for the ride. But it's Excel right? I've never been there so have no idea of the route. I think that's why i maybe had looked at the rideout before - as i have no idea how to get there.

The last time i went to Ally Pally was few years back when it snowed really heavily whislt i was inside. I felt so sorry for all the bike-mounted guys trying to slither their way up the north circular in thck snow. I seem to recall it took me 4-5 hours to get from there to Uxbridge... And i was i the car yes

Ditto, reckoning on an early(ish) start depending on the weather.

Hopefully might catch some end of show bargains, a batch of R1s they need to shift for a few hundred perhaps...

Not going as I'm not about for the weekend. I would have liked to go for an evening visit but I'd hardly call 7pm a late finish tomorrow either! Friday finishes at 6pm I mean who organised this?? Most of us work and can't go swaning round a show during the normal working day without skiving or time off work or taking a days holiday.
Personally I'd have opened the show on one of the weekdays at midday and then moved the closing time to 9 or 10pm one night.

If you can't be bothered to go to Excel, can I recommend this one..

http://www.bikesafe.co.uk/Bikesafe/Bikesafe2000/en...

Its the national Bikesafe event being hosted by the Met Police this year at Hendon.
Out of the country then so won't be able to go to this either! lol
