Took the beast for a run into the City the other night to meet a few friends after work and as I went past them they said they saw her spitting flames out the back !!! (She can be a right one sometimes, the saucy cow), Lovely Jubbly.

Can't remember what I was doing when this happened, so does it only happen on the over-run when it's banging and popping or could it have been if you blip the throttle during a gear change or something similar or are they just pulling my leg????

Also, if this is true, would it only just of started happening since fitting the sports pipes?? I reckon it's been happening cos the expressions on drivers faces behind me is one of complete amazement

What a b*tch I can't see them myself

During pops and bangs on overrun. De-cat makes it 100% better!

I keep thinking of asking my wife to video my car on fly by etc so I can appreciate it at full throttle and on overrun.

Oddly enough mine flamed only with standard back box and no cats. With sports exhaust and no cats, it never did!

I'm Mr quiet now - gone back to standard exhaust completely (with cats).

Never got any video of the Cerbera, but the flames are definitely biggest on the overrun around 3800 to 4200 rather than the noisy ones above 6000 (was swapping Cerbies with Beaver at night).

Got some of the Radical though!

Cheers chaps.

I've also noticed that since the sports pipes have been fitted, the popping and banging occur high up the rev range, where as before it was a lot lower. Just curious as to why this happens with different pipes???

Go for a run through the Dartford Tunnel mate... that way you'll see the flashes (and enjoy the noise too!) - best quid you can spend!

Good thinking batman, haven't been through any tunnels yet since the pipes being fitted, everytime I try Blackwall it's closed . Taking the camcorder next time.

Futie,

After all that effort of sorting out different combinations, why have you gone quiet?

Then again. you can't beat a bit of back pressure missus.

Nick.

Nick, it's track days which have done it - I was at Goodwood the other day and they have some silly noise limits - I got through the static test, but apparently there were some frowns as I went past the pits the first time!

I have some video of it - sounds excellent. The only non-standard part now is the Green filters from Joolz; I think they help it to sound quite nice!

Travelled trough the Dartford tunnel a couple of weeks ago with a big bike attached to my derriere. As I came of the gas I heard the usual popping and saw the biker wobble a tad and back off. Hit a small jam the essex side and the biker told me that if he had been any closer I'd have probably melted his front tyre. He was p!ssing himself laughing!!! Think I almost converted him

Hey Guys, if flames are what your looking for then have a look at this little gadget.

www.takakaira.co.jp/asp/template.asp?id=849&cat=2&prodID=STtPqQqlnMokrNm

I would think it could be modified to run on the tvr.
