Afternoon all
I have myself a problem. Took handbrake calipers off for a clean and grease as they was burgered. Found one of the little brass fork(ing) springs had snapped in three. If you've pulled them apart you'll know the ones I mean. They're supposed to spring the calipers back off the disc.

Anyways, I've tried all the usual TVR specialist suspects to get this, seems they all want to sell me refurbished calipers but none has just the spring :-( Even tried a couple of old Jag places as I think I'm right in saying they originate from there.

Any suggestions? Anyone with a spare spring they want to sell me :beg:

cheers
Dave

You tried a 'new Jag' place? They might be a common spare across about 30 years...

Try Classicar Automotive. 01625 860910 based in Chelford, Cheshire. www.classicbrakes.co.uk. They refurbish calipers but also sell all the bits.

Just tried the url and it doesn't work.

Are they?! Thought the Jags had long since stopped using them? What Jags are we talking about. I figured XJS, but what era?

There's a spare dot in the URL stopping it working. Just visited site and emailed, see what they say. Thanks for link.
