Gruppe M induction kit on a 330ci - Yes / No?

Hi Guys,

I have recently bought a 330ci sport coupe but would like to hear a bit more of the engine as it's really quiet compared to cars I have owned previously. I did test drive a clubsport which sounded better than my sport but I personally am not a fan of the look of the wheels and spoiler so opted for a sport instead.

I don't want to make the car too boy-racer and it's the induction noise of the straight six I want to hear so have ruled out an aftermarket exhaust. I believe that the clubsport's have less sound-proofing to enhance the noise? Does anybody know if you can or how easy it is to remove the offending sound-proofing yourself on a normal sport model?

The other option I'm considering is installing a GruppeM induction kit for the car however I think they are around £400 - £500 so would be interested to know how good they really are before handing over the cash. Has anybody any experience of the sound of the GruppeM kit on a 330ci?

What do you think. Are the GruppeM's a worthwhile purchase or a bit too McDonalds car park?

hello matey , the GruppeM is a great bit of kit and it will certainly give you a bit of noise but nothing to chav. I wouldnt of thought any gains in power though regardless of " dyno proven graphs " however i still think its rather expensive. simota do a similar kit for less so google it

I've just ordered a GruppeM for my e39 V8 as there was nothing comparable but noticed the Simota range ,looks really neat £250ish ?
