air filter

im just ready to have a new cam fitted,carbon trumpets and a smooth bore induction kit .ive only just recently purhased a piper cross air filter, will this air filter be ok let enough air in etc or should i get a KaN ... what is the difference between the two thanks daz

Get the K&N, especially with the mods already done on your car. Tim from ACT claims a small gain with the K&N even with the standard induction system. Lasts forever and has long cleaning/oiling intervals.

Go for the K&N smooth bore induction kit from Tim at ACT, definately crisper afterwards.

I was asking Tim about the the ACT kit, but was surprised the pipes only come in black. I am sure I have seen cars with red, blue etc?

You can also get pipes from Samco (good quality) or autobahn88 (medium quality but cheaper) in different colours.
