Possible locking breaks
Discussion
Still smiling as only had the beast 5 weeks
but I have noticed what I think are breaks locking up.
Let me explain I only use the car at weekends so it
is stood most of the week, but when I start to move the
car after been stood, there is quite a noise from the front end.
It sounds like the brakes have locked, and the initial mvement frees
them.
No problem after that until the next week.
Has anyone else had this problem, and any suggestion
for a solution
Cheers

As has been said, just moisture on the disks, I once left my bmw in the garage for about a fortnight after washing it, when I came to move it, well you can imagine, when it finally decided to release it left half the pad material on the disk.
Somehow or other I got a new set of discs and pads under the warranty, don't ask, took a lot of dealing with the service people.
Just make sure the discs are nice and dry, if possible , before storing your car for any period of time, this should help, or at least move the car in the garage from time to time if it's going to be a long period.
You could always get a de-humidifier if your garage is not heated and gets damp, they are good at sucking the moisture out, and you can put them on a timer so as they're not running all the time, also ge tone that can be piped externally, so as you don't have to worry about emptying the tank every day.
Steve.
