Just reading a car magazine and they're talking about the new Nissan Skyline GT-R and namely the racer version to compete in the GT500 series in the Super GT. They state it will have close to 500bhp and a weight of 1100kg. My question is, a Sagaris produces around 400bhp and weighs about the same as the GT-R at 1100kg. With a bit of tuning to take the power up, would it be as quick as the GT car?

I think you may need more than a bit of tuning to get 500bhp out of the speed six, is it possible? Certainly not NA and doubt it could stand up to being boosted unless it is completely rebuilt and every component changed.

It's a bit of a silly question, GT500 cars are seriously quick, take a look at this vid:

Wow! Despite similar power to weigh ratios?

I reckon my 4 litre chim would keep up with the GT500 car rofl

Perhaps if the GT car had broken down! biggrin

jester forgot to mention if the race was over 1 lap my gran would have time to pass her driving test as she has no license and still beat the Sag.

That GT500 was quick but I bet Ronaldo can beat it -
