Last year was a flag pole...7 meters here;

Hmmm what to get for this year......Have been given a freeze, this any use compared to a fridge? Saying such, I have no jenny to run it as yet.

It's amazing how much your site resembled ours. The flag pole needs replacing after getting snapped last year and we had to ditch a gazebo after the rain/wind trashed it Thursday afternoon.

Highlights for 2008 will be a full hog roast in Monday/Tuesday. Usual mod cons of gazebo, fridge, generator, stereo and lighting of course. Might leave the tv and PS2 at home along with the Xmas lights this year. Going to keep an eye out for the Kangaroo TV units and get one of those ordered so I can drink in the gazebo keeping an eye on the Corvettes.

Viper,

Not quite an air raid siren, but the effect is the same. Record the sound and playback on speakers.

The gazebo, 3 chairs and a table didn't make it till Sunday. The gazebo lasted longer than most due to us anchoring the legs down. 4 road pins, about a meter long. Half in/ half out of the ground and zip tied to the legs kept it from moving.

was so depressing watching your camp go kaput. So we resorted to the "if you can't see it, it's not happening" method.

Have herd about these from last year. A little hand held monitor so you can watch the incar/ circuit cameras or similar? Any more info on these. The site is blank and that's all I know.

RVVUNM and Tony: Fridge vs. Freezer, who wins? Seems that you two both have freezers, last we year we had none, this year we have one (freezer). Basicly. Will my beer be in safe hands?

If you click on the link;
http://www.lemans.org/marketing/live/pages/24hauto...

And then click on the 'On-site promotional aids' on the right. The PDF download talks about sponsoring Kangaroo TV handsets.
Gives a bit of info about what they do & a picture however, doesn't say anything about the cost of rental etc.
I suppose the one thing from this is that it seems they should be avalible to rent again this year. wink

There's another thread about these on the go - but from what I've seen Just Tickets offered these for F1 weekends at £65 a pop. On site should be a bit cheaper I'd hope. Only issue with these will be pikeys on the rob so I'd hope they come with some form of handcuff.

A cannon. A proper one (well, home made, but all the general cannon principles apply to it)

It makes a proper good bang.

We've come across a generator running at 90dB. Is this too loud?

It's to run out Freezer (is this just as good as a fridge?), some lights, odds and ends.
