I must admit that I have loved reading the biker banter threads but has it gone slack due to the winter or what?!?

Do all bikers hibernate and go to ground or is there anything interesting that we can chin chat about even though the weather is pants and our loved two wheel monsters are all locked away?

Locked away? pah, bloody FWB. Was utterly gorgeous out today, crisp and clear. A cracking ride smile

My bike has died... Need to get a charger, so on the train for a bit. Leave in the dark, return in the dark, and have no power in the garage. Have to wait till the weekend....Not that anything really exciting happens tyo me on the commute anyway!

I have been getting mine out (fwarrr)most weekends as long as it isn't peeing it down.

I used to ride to work come rain or shine for a few years, but haven't done so for a long while now due to my alcohol dependancy.

Still riding to work. There's the odd dry day to enjoy and don't mind the rain. Feel free to talk about dresses or kittens or whatever else you summer ponces do with your time wink

Riding to work here too, don't have any textiles though! Just winter gloves and a neck warmer (and leathers, before that's commented on!). It got cold for a few days through December & this month but it seems to be getting milder again - can put off buying textiles for another year then biggrin

Haha, well I will probably brave it, if it gets cold again - I only commute through London so never get any real speed going (not enough for wind chill to make me cold) - e.g. I never have to put my visor down!

I've now moved further out of London so the commute has gone up to 45 miles each way each day, so I've just blown a fortune in HG and am now snug and warm and fully waterproof to ride through the winter smile

Doing a house renovation at the moment, so sorned the bike, can't get many bags of plaster on it!! so resorted to using a car or "Skip" as i refer to it as.

So once the place is sorted, and with the bike making a feature of it's new heated/Carperted home (The Dining Room)... will be out again....

Still riding in to work most days too.
Not been on here too much as had an incident with a car turning across my path just before christmas, luckily minimal damage to the bike and tiny amount of bruising to myself. Lets just say in the summer the incident would have been avoided as the bike would have simply stopped. Front locked on the sh*tty surface at less than 30mph and sent me down into the side of the car I was trying to avoid. I'm pleased to report that the issue is now fully resolved outside of insurance.
Ironically it was the day after my 11th anniversary of passing my bike test too!
