bushes & springs

Can someone recomend some decent uprated bushes please for 330d saloon & estate & any recomendations on springs that would give any advantage over standard m sport stuff.

I consider it almost essential to replace the front lower arm rear "Lollipop" bushes with the poly uprated bushes. The rest depends on what you want from the car, (handling, lowering, ride etc).

personally I found poly bushes too harsh for comfortable road use, but if you are driving mainly alone and dont mind a crashier suspension then they do sharpen handling.

M tech springs and arms, IMO, are hard to better for road use. But some find these to harsh. Eilbach, Schnitzer et all, do various rate springs to suit all E46 variants, but as to which is best is so subjective. Nearly every BMW member of PH will have a different opinion on this. It's expensive to experiment!

Thanks - the estate is basically the tow barge - drags my track car all over the place. When the whether is bad or when I break something on the track car, the tow barge doubles as track car. Also my track car isn't road legal so will be using barge at the ring.

It is full m sport already and more than happy with the ride, wouldn;t mind it being a bit harsher if it made it a bit taughter handling wise.

The current suspension has done lots of miles so it's time for a refresh and don't just want to replace with standard if there is something better out there.

Can you recommend brands to look at for bushes etc?

Powerflex seems to be the most popular, but if you have a track car then I would have thought you would be familiar with them. I would rate Eilbach for springs. Direct replacement for tired originals.

Thanks Zead - have heard of powerflex and have used Eibach springs years ago & was happy with them.

One of my track cars doesn't use aftermarket bushes and the other has a combination of oem & solid (machined) so have never had to buy anything other than oem.
