Emerald ECU - Anyone got a 160 map?
Discussion
Hello guys,
I have a K series with a B&C 160 conversion and the following additions:
ITG exhaust
Emerald ECU
4 into 1
I have just fitted a 52mm throttle body and it is now a bit lumpy around 1-2K revs. Dave Walker suggests a remap to compensate for the fuel and I have now booked it in for a rolling road session - I am having to wait until April for this though!
Has anyone got a map that is similar to my requirements to keep me going until then? (I am posting this on SELOC aswell!)

Hi Will,
Following on from our previous conversations ...
I had the same problem, particularly at 2500 rpm it was really stuttering. I riched up the fueling which fixed it.
What you need to do is this:
Run the Emerald software on a laptop computer and connect up to the ECU with a serial lead long enough to run into the cockpit.
Load the ECU map into the Emerald program (Connection -> Read ECU).
Select the injection map (it's on the injection tab).
Start up and find a quiet road.
Whilst driving along (helps if you have an assistant) settle the RPM in the range that is giving you problems.
Make a note of the load point (it's the value down the left hand side on the Injection page) this is the throttle position.
Now pull over and look at the injector timing at the RPM and Load point in the Injection map.
Your value will probably be around 30 to 40. Add 5 to this by pressing return and entering the new value.
Write the map back to the ECU (Connection -> Program ECU) this can be done whilst the engine is running.
Now road test and see if there is any improvement.
I had to add about 10 at Speed Site 2500, Load site 2, now mine runs sweet as a puss.
If you get stuck you're v welcome to come over and I'll give you a hand.
HTH.

Steve,
Dave Walker gave me a map on SELOC thanks - How decent is that?
I plan to modify my map with a hybrid of that and yours, have a look at my post on SELOC and you can see it in the thread, but I will send you the map when I have put it into the Emerald software.
Thanks for the offer of help, much appreciated. I am planning to have a bash at the weekend so hope not to have to bother you, but I will keep you posted!
I have hidden the swear box so that I will still have some money left for fuel......
Thanks again,
Will
