Wider Rear Axle for a Capri

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a new rear axle for my Capri project. The rear track has been widened by around 8cm so I'm wondering if there's a wider rear axle system I could use instead of heavily offset wheels/spacers. I need to get an LSD anyway so if I were to stick with the ford axle the LSD will cost me £500ish. I'm not afraid of a bit of work but I don't know where to start looking for the parts on this one.
So the question is can I get an axle that's a bit wider than Capri standard fit with an LSD for around the £500 mark?
Jag springs to mind as a possible source but my knowledge of them is very small.
Any ideas would be great.
