Below is the Fuse and Relay layout on my 1989 450 SEAC

Bit of a horror..

Does anyone have a layout diagram - the one I have is incorrect.

There are also two other relays at the bottom on the picture too !

I'm particularly interested in the fuel pump relay - as I smacked my hand against the impact switch under the bonnet on the bulk head and how the fuel pump does not work .. it works fine if I run a (+) to the pump.
There is no voltage on either wire on the impact switch with the ignition on..

Any idea's ?

Check fuses and/or replace with SHPUB illuminating fuses.

I'm sure the SEAC and the 400SE are different.

I have a early 400SE and have a different layout.

May look slightly different, plus don't recall an impact cut off switch anywhere. also seems to be no efi relay in the picture frown

Just did a continuity test on all the fuses and they are OK..

Layout a bit different to mine but fuel pump should be the 'free one' in the blue block.
Injectors usually the other free one but black block.

The impact switch is on the engine side of the bulk head - with a little pull up switch on the top..

Rev
Don't forget there may only be a feed to the safety 'cut out' during the initial 2 or 3 sec timed on period. After giving an initial feed the pump relay 'times out' until it sees a feed from the air flow meter (or starter circuit??) confirming 'engine running'.

Well I could not get a voltage across the Fuel Cutoff switch .. the wires got a 12 volt signal for about 2 seconds when the ignition was turned on and if I joined the 2 wires ..

woohoo the pump runs .. woohoo

Guess I broke the Fuel Cutoff switch when I bashed my hand on it..

Thanks everyone.. but if anyone has a diagram or it's show in the wedge bible then please post it up here..

Thanks.

I'm sure I've posted a link to a pdf/jpg of the wiring diagram.

Let me know if you can't find it and I'll post it again tomorrow, but need to look it up on the FTP. but only got that at work.

The inertia switch can be replaced with a later version from say a Disco, its only a kill switch.

Rev I have sent you a file, hope it helps

Yes - sorry about that .. I have hundreds of pictures on my PC but none of that part of my engine bay ..

As the kill switch is driving the fuel circuit and only gets a voltage fro m the relay when you turn on the ignition then by assumption - the kill switch must generate a voltage when the switch is activated.. anyone know if this is true..

Lee - I had a good look and could not find it .. can you repost it..

The car's a hot wire - so a later diagram is better.
