I have red stuff pads fitted (brought to mind after brakes on how fast 350 etc thread) Came with the car (not fitted by me) are these a bit dodgy on a road car? The brakes are not as good as my old 350. They do the job but need a bit more welly at times.

GreenStuff is OK, sometimes feels a little iffy on really cold mornings but so does the driver come to that. The other grades are NOT recommended for road use. In case you're interested, the grades are: Green 0-500C high wear, Red 50-700C medium wear, black 50-800C low wear, Blue 50-850C very low wear. Basically as you go to harder compounds they run at higher temperatures and last longer, but they need to be warmed up to work.

Cheers,

Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)
