Hi there, I actually own a V8s but wondered if the Chim guys might have more experience of this.

Firstly does it exist? I am just about to remove a polish both the plenum and rocker covers and I really only want to do it once if I can help it, as you know they are a bugger to do in situ. Hopefully a high temp laquer would keep my shine?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I've recently had my rocker covers blasted and powder coated (as well as the expansion tank and swirl pot. I think they look great and are now easier to keep clean.

The plenum I just had blasted.

Laquer always sounds like a good idea but looks rubbish IMO

Powdercoat where you can and polish the plenum top, it's not hard to keep them shiny.

POR15 do a clear laquer called Glistern, I use it on not polish engine parts to give an easy to wash finish. It's a 2 component paint and hard as nails when it goes off.
