Garmin 770T help & TMC tututorial

hi. I've just bought a Nuvi 770T, but although I've set the home country as the UK when the unit was first started, every time I go to try and load a postcode, I need to alter the country back to the UK again. How do I set this as a default?

TMC questions:
1) how will I know there is a problem ahead?
2) will the unit automatically re route me?
3) does it work for all road types? (only those I presume with the blue(?) traffic master cameras on them?)

1) I presume these are only loaded as points of interest and do not show prevailing speed limits?
2) I guess SPECS cameras are also only shown as POIs?
