It's OK I suppose biggrin

That bl00dey Luca Brazzi forced me to borrow his 300 f2.8 and 1.4x today, and then he made me drive to Richmond Park to get some deer shots. Anyway, one to be getting on with.

Martin.

BTW, Steve, these are all hand held biggrin

Glad you like it Martin. You'll find it very easy to give back...I can assure you of that wink

Great shots. How does it compare to your other lenses?

Meet you there!

Bit early for a drink tho!

Sunrise in the forest is stunning - but I must say, not as stunning as Mr Carter's shots!

Nice so with a 1.4 does that take it to 450mm f4ish? Has it naturally got some magnification?
I dont suppose you have had a go with a 100-400L with a extender? Any feedback, personal interest.

420mm f4 yes. Plus I've got a 1.3x sensor so 560mm.

Hopefully I'm going to give the100-400 + 1.4x a try tomorrow.(equates to 747mm!)

By the way...I'm going to the Barnes Wetlands place tomorrow http://www.wwt.org.uk/centre/119/visit/wetlandcent... ...anyone else fancy coming along? (Going to have the Mrs with me though rolleyes

Needs shedloads of light, the viewfinder looks like midnight and the AF slows to a crawl even on a 1 series body. On anything else you lose AF completely.
