Hi

After much discussion and advice from here last year I decided to go for Goodyear Eagle F1 on the Green monster.
Tried to get quotes today, as I want to change them early next month. In time for its MOT.
To be informed that Goodyear are now not makeing our sizes!!!!!!.

So what now.

Toyo's I think.

Advice again please.

I personally don't get the Toyo's are great all of a sudden threads, in fact it confuses me as a year or so ago the general consencous was that they are ok and that's about it. The Toyo's that were originally on my 4.5 were ok with their best feature being their durability, if anything I thought the compound was too hard which too be honest may have reflected in their poor performance in coldish conditionsconfused .

On the advice of a few forum members on a couple of other Car Forums I decided to try some Falken FK452's and to my suprise they were an improvement on the old Toyo's, they are also a bit cheaper (not that that should matter where tyres are concerned). Quite a few Cerb owners had them fitted and all reported back positively.

Jules.

Whereas I went other other way. Although I think I had the previous model of Falkens on. They were horrible. Back end would step out under acceleration and the car felt like it wanted to understeer all the time. Had Toyos fitted and it has felt planted ever since....

Pirelli P Zero Corsas here, Rubbish in the cold/wet but once warmed awesome. They are fitted on loads of top end tackle as OE. Cant get the fronts in 225/35-18 though. Standard P Zero an ace alrounder.

Really - it's not so long since I bought Eagle F1's. They don't do the arrow tread pattern anymore - you need the asymetrical, bu tthey are blooming good, especially in the wet.

Just checked on Mytres.co.uk. They have both front and rear in 17" (and in the arrow pattern!)

Hi Byker28i

Goodyear are no longer making one size we need and they also are not making one of the size's in Asymetrical and you can't mix them!
Some tyre dealers may have a small stock.
But my local tyre dealers have not got any in stock!
So yet again I have to look for the best tyre.
I am looking for the best alround tyre.
So I believe Toyo's are properly the best alround available.
What do people think and which version of Toyo's do you recommend!

Well I had just this dilemma this week....
http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...
so have opted for a nice set of T1-R on the front. Pick it up tomorrow so will let you know if I die on the way home... or not. SHould be fine though.

Cheers Andy
A shame as I love those tyres frown I've never had a problem about mixing as I tend to change both on the same axle at the same time, especially on performance cars.

Cheers
